Spaces are limited so please sign up ASAP! What if STMA goes to Distance Learning for everyone??? Even if STMA transitions to distance learning the gyms will still be available for us to use. The only way we would cancel a season is if MN shuts down. JVA Participant Release Link Once you have registered your athlete with STMA, please go to the JVA Participant link and register with JVA. There is no fee to register with JVA. THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE THEY CAN PRACTICE OR TRYOUT! JO Season Information Can be found on the JO homepage 1st & 2nd grade winter season We are very excited to be offering 1st & 2nd grade volleyball for boys and girls this year!!! Practices Sundays from 3:15-4:30pm November 15th -January 24th Location: MSE Cost: 150 Shirt included We will be following our Covid-19 preparedness plan. More details to come on that as we get closer to the season. Players will not be required to wear masks when they are on the court. We will be limiting our 1st & 2nd grade to 40 players. YDT (3rd-6th grade) Our YDT program is for girls and boys in grades 3rd through 6th. We offer JO's for 5th and 6th graders but ydt is a great opportunity for new players or players that are not able to commit to the JO schedule. Unfortunately we are not able to offer playdates at our facilities this year but we will be participating in playdates at Premier (Andover). We choose this location because they are allowing 2 spectators to attend per player which we feel is very important for this age group. Wrist bands will be given out so there is not admissions to pay. Masks will be required of all coaches and spectators. Players can remove masks when they are on the court. Our season is going to be a little shorter due to the extra cost of attending playdates at another facility. We are happy to be able to provide the athlete that opportunity to still play volleyball in these challenging times and are trying to make the season as "normal" as possible. STMA JO and YDT Volleyball STMA JO MISSION STATEMENT STMA JO's program is committed to the development and promotion of volleyball within the St Michael - Albertville area. The program provides an opportunity for player ages 10 through 18 to play volleyball year round, thus allowing them to learn new skills and develop skills already acquired. The goals of STMA JO's coaches goes further than just teaching volleyball skills, but includes teaching important life skills such as responsibility and teamwork. The program also emphasizes the importance of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual achievements within a fun, competitive, and safe environment. YDT: What we are about This program is designed to introduce volleyball to players in 1st thru 6th grade. Our Goal as a Youth Development Program is to provide the opportunity for players to experience the sport of volleyball at a beginning level. They will be provided with the skills, knowledge and understanding of the game to the best of their ability. Teamwork and other life skills will also be taught.
